was established in 1885 with the purpose of putting on student and professional concerts of high quality in Balliol College. Concerts are held fortnightly during term-time on Sunday evening. Many illustrious musicians have played in the Musical Society Concerts, including Claudio Arrau, Vlado Perlemuter, Solomon, Yehudi Menuhin, Pascal Rogé, or in more recent times András Schiff and Dame Felicity Lott.
